About the course

This programme is offered in collaboration with University of Hertfordshire, UK and introduces students to the study of financial institutions. It delves into Instruments, Corporate Financial Management and Strategy, as well as Portfolio Analysis and Financial Risk Management. It has three major themes – Finance, Economics and Quantitative Analysis. It offers an opportunity for further study into fields of Quantitative Methods and Economics that are relevant to Finance.

Students who pursue this programme will get a firm foundation for a career in the general field of finance. It is particularly appropriate for those who wish to work with financial institutions like banks, stock broking firms, investment houses and insurance companies. This programme also provides a strong foundation for students who wish to continue their studies at the Master or professional level, like the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme.

Entry Requirements
  • INTI Foundation- Completion of Foundation Programme
  • Diploma- Completion of Diploma studies will allow a maximum of 36 credit hours in exemptions
  • STPM- Two (2) full passes
  • A Level- 2Es
  • UEC- 5Bs
  • SAM- Pass in 5 subjects, no subjects below 10/20
  • NSW (HSC)- Minimum 10 units with UAI 55, no subjects below 50
  • CPU- 6 passes with an average of 55, no subject below 50
  • Tertiary Entrance Examination (TEE)- 5 subjects with a minimum aggregate of 279
