About the course

Our Bachelor of Biotechnology (Hons) programme provides you with a strong foundation in the disciplines of biology, chemistry and mathematics as well as skills and techniques in Molecular Biosciences, Microbiology and Biochemistry. You will be equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge of the Biotechnology industry. This includes generic skills and knowledge appropriate to employment in science including quantitative literacy, data analysis and presentation, communication skills and teamwork skills.

* 20% INTI Edu-Assist Waiver is only applicable to those having a household income (including both working parents) of RM8,000 or less (Applied to West Malaysia students) and RM6,000 or less (Applied to East Malaysia students).
Entry Requirements
  • INTI Foundation - Completion of Foundation Programme (Engineering/Science) with a cumulative average score of 50%, including Chemistry, Biology, and Physics or one mathematics subject
  • STPM - Pass Biology and any of the following subjects: General Paper, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics
  • UEC - 5 B's including Chemistry, Biology, and Physics or one mathematics subject
  • A-Level - 2 principal passes including Biology and Chemistry
  • SAM - ATAR of 70, including Chemistry, Biology, and Physics or one mathematics subject
  • NSW (HSC) - 10 units with ATAR of 70 including Chemistry, Biology, and Physics or one mathematics subject
  • Australian Year 12 - ATAR of 70 including Chemistry, Biology, and Physics or one Mathematics subject
  • Canadian Pre-U - 6 passes (including Chemistry, Biology, and Physics or one mathematics subject) with an average score of 68%
  • INTI Diploma or equivalent - Completion of Diploma or equivalent with CGPA 2.0 
  •  Matriculation in related fields- CGPA of 2.0 and above
