About the course

Students are provided with a foundation in the Quantity Surveying practice. Quantity Surveying is developed progressively from the elementary concepts underlying planning, estimates and measurement of building materials as per the Standard Method of Measurement, preparation of tender documents, cost control, cost analysis, contract administration and management of building production in the construction industry. They are prepared with the skills to undertake a wider role in multi-disciplinary teams and a leading role in providing appropriate professional services that maximise value and minimise risk.

Entry Requirements
  • SPM / O Level: 3 Cs (including Maths and one science/technical/vocational subject) and pass English
  • UEC: 3 Bs (credit in Adv Maths I & one science/technical/vocational subject) and pass English
  • Certificate: Completion of Certificate in Engineering/Engineering Technology in relevant field with CGPA of 2.0
  • SKM: Pass Level 3 of Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) and obtain at least 1 credit in any subject at SPM
  • Sijil Vokasional dan Teknikal/Kemahiran: Pass Sijil Vokasional dan Teknikal/Kemahiran programme or equivalent and 1 year working
  • Others: Other equivalent qualifications as recognised by the government of Malaysia
